Prescott's
altitude is 5,347, earning it the nickname, "The Mile High City". Prescott is in
central Arizona located 96 miles northwest of Phoenix and 90 miles southwest of Flagstaff.
The city is surrounded on three sides by the 1.2 million acre Prescott National Forest. We
enjoy a four-season climate with both mild winters and summers. The average snowfall
is 21 inches per year. Prescott has many scenic attractions and artifacts from Arizona's

county, which includes the tri-city area of Prescott, Prescott Valley, Chino Valley
and other small communities, has a population of 123,500. The tri-city area offers hiking,
rock-climbing, cycling, fishing, and hunting.
